There has always been a version of golf that lives beyond the eighteenth hole. In the margarita after the round, in the poster on the locker room wall, in the way a certain kind of person arranges their den so that it tells you, without a word, where their loyalties lie. Malbon has always understood that version of the game. With Malbon Home, the LA brand has finally given it a proper address.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2017 by Stephen and Erica Malbon, the brand's approach has always been about bold self-expression and real inclusivity.
What began as a disruptive apparel concept; treating golf the way the streetwear world treats culture, has spent nearly a decade earning the right to expand its territory. Malbon Home is the logical, and overdue, next room.
The concept debuted in earnest during Masters week, when with the creation of Malbon Home, a week-long activation that took over the best week in golf these last two years, the brand cultivated a physical space for people to interact with each other and the community around them. The activation unfolded not inside Augusta National's hermetically sealed grounds, but just outside its mythology, at a residence on Milledge Road. Creating something alongside the Masters that felt just as desirable without relying on restriction to define it: a space where exclusivity was not about keeping people out, but about creating something so intentional and culturally aware that people naturally wanted to be there.
That is the animating philosophy behind Malbon Home as a decor concept too. The table objects, art prints, and domestic goods that populate the line carry the same conviction as the brand's apparel. That the game belongs to a wider, more interesting world than golf has traditionally allowed itself to imagine.
As Erica Malbon has put it, what Malbon really created is "this community of like-minded people who all love golf but have other interests outside of just being a scratch golfer."
Malbon Home simply lets that community decorate accordingly.
What makes the concept credible rather than merely commercial is the same thing that has kept the broader brand coherent at scale: founder conviction.
The brand has not abandoned its identity as it has scaled. Founder-led businesses can hold creative coherence at scale better than corporate-acquired brands, and Malbon is still founder-led. The voice has not been laundered through a brand consulting firm. The products still look like Stephen and Erica designed them, because they did.
That integrity travels from the fairway to the shelf.
There is something quietly radical about a golf brand deciding that its community deserves beautiful objects in their homes. Not replica trophies or club-crest throw pillows, but considered, art-adjacent pieces that happen to carry the game's sensibility. It treats the golf enthusiast not as a consumer of a sport but as a person with taste, with a living room, with a coffee table that says something about who they are.
The experience never became about who was in the room. It stayed centered on how the room felt.
That is the entire brief for home decor, actually. Malbon just needed a tee time to prove it.
